That's a nice way of saying that the service was abysmal: As Nextel hit the wall on capacity, call interference became commonplace. The result was a nasty crush of "voice quality problems." The most notable distinction for Nextel is the iconic chirp sound that comes from its unique instant push-to-talk walkie-talkie feature on its phones.
